Dave Pelzer's Trilogy

Monday, March 10, 2008

Sa wakas, I have finished reading books of David Pelzer... Book 1 : A Child Called "It", Book 2: The Lost Boy, and Book 3 : A Man Named Dave... This is the story of his life... I just hoped I'll be like him..

Book 1 : A Child Called "It"

As a child, dapat nasa labas siya at naglalaro with his friends. But unfortunately, nasa bahay lang siya lagi to cope for his mother's game!! He was almost killed by her mom, but still parang wala lang sa mom nya! Ang tanging iniisip nya lang is how to survive.. He always have hope na right time will come at may makakawala xa sa parang bangungot na nangyayari sa kanya!! He still wants to survive... He steals food just to survive, he will do anything just to accept him as a person even at school or at his home... His mother treats him as "IT" and not a person. He was treated as a slave and not part of the Pelzer family. But still, God loves him so much and God granted his wish, his teachers rescued him from his mother.

Book 2 : The Lost Boy
In this book, he already won his freedom from her mother. Nagkaroon siya ng maraming foster parents. Nagpalipat - lipat siya ng tirahan. He also met Ms. Gold, the angel of his life.. The one who enlightens his life, siya ang malaking dahilan kung bakit ganoon na lamang ung tapang nya na sbihin sa nakararami ang "Family Secret". Sa last foster parent na natirahan nya, natuto siyang maging independent. He will do anything to survive. Alam kasi nya na at the age of 18, they will no longer under the management of the Foster care. Lahat din ginawa nya to be accepted by people. Pero... he still carries the burden caused by her mother.. Takot pa rin xa na baka dumating ung time na babawiin xa ng mom nya, because he knows "The Mother" always win!! This is his struggle to live in the world accepted by people.

Book 3 : A Man Named Dave

After all his struggle to survive, he fulfills his lifelong dream, to be part of U.S Air force. Iba rin xa sa mga may history of being abused.. ayaw nyang mangyari iyon sa knyang anak, unlike others na iginaganti sa iba ang naranasan nila before. Pero, hindi ko pa rin maunawaan kung bakit ginawa iyon sa knya ng mom nya,, na-explain na partially with this book when Dave finally got courage to talk with her mom after so many years. He serves as an inspiration to all Americans.

Because of his service to the US Air Force and a volunteer speaker for abused child, he was awarded as one of the Top 10 Outstanding Young American. Aside from this, after many years of service, he was also awarded as Outstanding Young Persons of the World. He was also one of the torch bearer in the Centennial Olympics. Galing sobra!!! IDOL!!! He was also a model father for his son Stephen,.. any child will wish to have a dad like him. He is truly a great person inspiring many people's lives...
